Panu Aaltio

About

The score each film asks for.

Panu Aaltio is a film composer based in Helsinki and Los Angeles. To date he has scored more than thirty feature films, alongside television series, video games, and a full-length ballet for the Finnish National Opera.

His music ranges widely: the sweeping orchestral writing of the award-winning Tale nature-documentary trilogy, the close and unsettling textures of horror, the warmth of family animation. He writes most often for full orchestra.

He trained at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and in the film scoring program at the University of Southern California.
