After Ego

Two aging brothers, once inseparable, now face each other across a surveyor’s line drawn through the forest where they played as children. In Mari Mantela’s black-and-white short film, years of litigation, jealousy and old resentment converge on a single boundary stream, with Esko Roine and Ilmari Saarelainen as the taciturn siblings. The film premiered at the Midnight Sun Film Festival in Sodankylä in June 2026.
