Shadow Lines

A Cold War spy thriller set in 1950s Helsinki, where the KGB, the CIA and rival intelligence services manoeuvre to sway a Finnish presidential election while a secret unit of Finnish operatives, codenamed Nyrkki (“the Fist”), works in the shadows to keep the young republic independent. Across two seasons the series follows Helena, newly returned from America and drawn into the unit by her godfather, as the team’s loyalties and buried pasts come under pressure from both East and West.
